There doesn't seem to be a specific thread for little personal achievements, where you just want to go "yay!" without making a fuss...
Anyway, my "yay!" moment today is getting a personal best for a Friday puzzle! (Edit: 1m37s)
Considering I've been doing this for about 20 years, that's nuts.

Well done! Lately I've tried to get the new weekend puzzles under 4 min,

Nicely done!
Still working to get my weekly times consistently below 30 minutes, but the weekends are still kicking my butt most of the time. I did tie my personal best for a Thursday (1m23s) recently though!
My silly little achievement is when I beat pqg on a puzzle/week. I don't know why my brain latched on to them specifically, maybe we were close in times when I played more regularly years ago. But it feels like a (completely silent and one-sided) rivalry to me.

pqg is also my one-sided rival... I think it is just because we often do the puzzle fairly close to release time...
I wonder how many others perceive a rival amongst the daily solvers. |

I don't call them rivals.I use the term " benchmark solvers ". A couple of years ago, Zyntax and qqwref used to make almost identical times to mine in
small easy puzzles. |

This thread is a good idea. Thank you. When I discovered this wonderful place a very long time ago, I used to try to get good times over the week to raise my club level but I've given up on that since my essential tremor has worsened. Some days my mouse control (or lack of it) is hilarious! I still love doing the puzzles though and a personal triumph was coming top for two days in a row this week. Once is a rarity and I don't remember ever doing it more than once before so I assumed it must be because everyone was on holiday...
