I couldn't find a topic on this so apologies if there is one already...
Occasionally, I succeed in solving one of the big beasties and it would be lovely to have some cross-hatching to show for it 
While I'm posting, thank you for all the great work giving us something so fantastic to crunch brains over. I discovered this when I broke my ankle years ago and had to sit a lot but it lightens each day and during the Pandemic it has been a real joy. |

I'm solving these too, but it's easier to make errors and not being able to locate them.I prefer to solve them in one session, taking some 40 to 70 min. Could it be possible to have a personal recordlist/archive also for the beasts, please

Beast times are already stored IIRC - if you resolve any of them, it tells you if you beat your previous time. But AFAIK there's no way to see that (or which ones you've solved) without solving again. So yes, it would be good if this was visible somewhere (the Archive page for the relevant month being the obvious place). |

I've added a "solved" or "unsolved" indicator under the Beast button on the archives page, and if you have "show my times" enabled it'll show you how long you took on the solved ones. |

Thanks for this. Looking back on my times seems to confirm something I've suspected for many years - the Beasts are significantly tougher than they used to be. 15-20 years ago (around the time many harder User Beasts were being posted in the forum), I was frequently getting close to 30 mins for BOTMs, and even had one as fast as 15 mins. For quite a long time now, I've considered anything under 50m as pretty fast. I also discovered that I'd apparently missed two out (Feb 2009 & Feb 2026) - did them both last night, and the second felt way harder, reinforcing that impression. (though it must be said that the slowing down may be partly to do with my age also going from 30something to 50something in the same period!) |
