Jankonynex, many thanks for the great patterns. You're a wizard!
Wish I had seen such usable patterns on the first attempt. Couldn't find any, so made a guess that looked promising. 20 minutes later it appeared to be a contradiction, so backtracked and redid the guess. Eventually it turned out the first guess was right.
Logical solutions (and puzzles admitting them) are much more fun than such guesswork. |

I saw the first two, but not the third (I think). The main problem was that I made an early mistake (only one edge bordered a '2'), and didn't notice it until I had already "solved" the rest of the puzzle. |

Can definitely be done without Fix Position. I worked roughly clockwise from the bottom left once I'd done the easy stuff.

The third one I see automatically - every time I see the 2-with-two-1s, I check out the surrounding area to see if I can force a contradiction. The others would take some searching, but I'd know to search there because they're on the edge. |
