Any plans to do puzzles with 2x2 numbers like in the past few us puzzle championships?

That sounds interesting, could you explain how that works? I've got an idea what you mean, but I might be wrong...

Basically numbers can occupy a 2x2 cell and can range from 0 to 7 (2x2 cell has 8 edges).

For example puzzle 23 here:

Interesting. I like this as a different flavour, the extension creates a lot of local counting methods which I think might appeal to Jankonyex. But it's not as elegant as the original puzzle - the way such complexity and variety emerges from so few and simple rules - rather like my preference for Go over Chess.

Hmmm, that was quite fun! I did some of it really quickly (patterns I recognise) and then had to think about the rest. It wasn't that difficult, no long lookaheads or anything, but I enjoyed it. I don't think it would be very easy to adapt this site to handle that type of puzzle, unfortunately!

that 2x2 puzzle type is just one of hundreds of variants you can make.  LoopDeLoop (My program) does a few select variants, some with octagons and squares (which makes them a 'bit' like the 2x2 puzzle variant), but not that paticular puzzle type, although it would be easy enough to add.

The main advantage of their 2x2 puzle vs other layouts, is that you can layout the grid using the same square lines, where as other layouts the lines can go any direction, and if you allow non-convex polygon segments; working out where to put the number is hard.
