Naturally!

Where do you run into problems?

It was tough, but after restarting 2-3 times, I realised that I am an idiot.. after exactly 28 minutes, I finished it. Where did you get hung up? I probably did the same thing, so I can help you fix it.

Dude! Not everyone's done it yet! If you just have to post a solution before foilmain does, put it in a locked thread.

I won't claim the system is foolproof in the absence of honour, but it's working well, so please don't mess with it.

I didn't really say much about the puzzle because I can't lock the forum as I am still unable to finish the puzzle.  Maybe I'll try again today.

Well, a few clues (like "bottom right corner"), or an incomplete solution to one region of the puzzle probably wouldn't hurt.

I took a look at where I'm stuck and all I've really accomplished is the left side and the top edge.  I'll post where i'm stuck in a week when everyone has had a chance to do it.

Jankonyex, your two patterns were nice (I didn't have time to study one of them) and they didn't give the puzzle away.  Could you repost your patterns sometime?  (here now or later, or in some other thread).  Actually, the "logical thinking" thread is a good place to collect them.  Thanks.

I'd like to post my Sunday's puzzle that I failed at miserably.  I've got my position saved but I can't figure out how to import it.  I've gone back and looked at the old posts and I'm still no smarter.  Can someone tell me how to import a saved position puzzle?

You'll notice that when you try and import a large puzzle into your message, you get an error on the top of the window:

"Your saved puzzle is too large for a forum post (they're limited to 10x10)."

So, you'll have to paste in 10x10 sections by hand.  Alternatively, grab a screenshot and paste it in as an image...

I've got a screen shot saved but I can't seem to put it in as an image.  It appears I need to have an internet link for it?

Upload it to imageshack and then post the link it gives you.

So what am I missing here?

There's a line and and an x I see that I'm missing but I got so frustrated with this puzzle I just gave up.  I had to keep guessing to get anywhere.

Ok, here are a few things I can see instantly (probably including the ones you mentioned):-

In the middle near the top you've got two 2s with lines coming in to the top-left. The first one (on the left) can have an extra x outside it, which solves the 1 underneath. The second 2 can have a line under it.

There's a 3 on the bottom missing a line.

There's a cross missing next to a 3 just up from the middle of the puzzle.

There's a 2 under a 3 just left of the middle - you can put a line coming up out of the top-left corner of that 2 (and a cross outside the bottom-left corner), as well as a line over the 3.

And a slightly more obscure one that took a bit of thinking about (try it with fix position) is right down at the bottom near the middle you've got a 1 above a 1. There can't be a line between them - if there was it would cause a problem further to the right and up a bit. Not obvious at all, but it helps quite a bit down there.

That's the fix for the 2 and the 1.

The 3 missing a line on the bottom row is obvious.

I think the missing cross is over here:

This bit is just to the right of your completed loop section on the left hand side.

You can't have a line above the cross here, else you get a quick closed loop:

And as Foilman says, the line here is also a bad idea

With those two in place, you seal off the centre of the lower part of the grid.

At this stage, counting shows that you can have one of two possible routes between the left and right sides of the grid.  If you choose this route, you quickly end up with two separate loops, so it must be wrong.

That leaves you with the other option, which quickly fills in the left half in full.  The bottom right corner should be all thats left, and fix position should help you through it.

Thanks.  It's nice to see the thought processes of someone else.
