i was looking at the champions total, and i got to thinking how a really good total could be ruined by one crazy puzzle. and some how this lead to me wondering what the fastest times for each day have been, ever (i.e. the fastest monday time, fastest tuesday time, etc.) is there a way to put that info on the site? and would you be able to get previous week puzzle times? |

I could probably extract that sort of information from the database, but for now I probably won't do it. Once you start putting up "all time bests", people start coming up with ingenious ways of cheating to get their names on it. Hence why I like the "rolling 7 days" leaderboard - even if someone cheats and gets away with it they won't last long. Ok, there is the "best ever champions total", but that's the exception to the rule... |

At www.puzzleloop.com they have best ever times, and well some of them look a bit too good to be true. |

I've only tried 10x10-Hard and 15x15-Hard, but the HOF times for those are more than twice what I'd expect. There doesn't seem to be too much interest in those, but I would have thought 10x10-Hard would be the most common (hence most competitive) format? I wonder why anyone would bother to cheat at the meaningless ones like 5x5? |
