i think it means not from right top to left bottom or left top to right bottom. At least i think this is the idea of the different brackets. Otherwise i agree.

Hi

I have one question about the way a loop can go.

Can the loop go like this?

Or does a crossover always start or end with a line with a straight angle on one side of the edge.

greetings

Direction(s) in a blank represents its nearest direction(s) to the loop.

Cool puzzle. There's a small error in your solution: the square in row 9, column 3, has a line on the left edge, but instead there should be lines on the other three edges.

Another nice and original idea. I have been thinking about a longer list of different clues in order to make 'magic squares' (I'll illustrate in a topic called 'puzzle column' what I mean by that). Since original kwon tom loops have only 5 different clues, the square size is too limited. Your idea 'liar catcher' made it possible to create a non-trivial (but easy) magic squared puzzle. These new clues form a set of 16 (including the empty clue). I'll try to find a magic square puzzle of a challenging size.

I think I have a second solution though:

Dear Jankonyex,

I've ported the Myopia puzzle genre into the Kudamono Editor:
https://pedros.works/myopia

In this page the puzzle you originally shared here at Kwon-tom Loop was also included, at least so you can test it with the Editor. However, in order to keep it there permanently, I should ask for your permission.

As the genre inventor, you're credited as Jankonyex throughout the page - please also let me know in case you'd like to be credited differently (e.g. with a different name or with a link to a page of your choice).

Finally, two new variants were added: Full Myopia and Unequal Lengths Myopia

Best,
Pedro from pedros.works

Hi Jankonyex,

this is to let you know that the Myopia page was updated to include the Hyperopia variant by Ben Woodley (Rubrica), including a redesign of the arrows (now either solid or hollow).

I hope you will find this variant to be a very natural expansion of the original rules; there are a few puzzles on the page to try it out!

Best,
Pedro from pedros.works

PS: Meanwhile the Kudamono Editor was also updated to improve performance (among other things) and more paper puzzle genres were added.
