Wednesday's puzzle seemed hard to get started, though moderate once you get traction.

I get this far with patterns and endpoint counting:

Then I ruled out the left ? at r10c2, but needed Fix Position for that.

Can anyone offer insights on how to get going on this puzzle?  Thanks.

There's a pattern near the middle right that I've seen several times:

Ok importing this puzzle doesnt work for me so ill try and explain some moves instead: (cells are number with 1,1 at top left, and 10,1 at top right)
cell{7,5] = you can make the top and left sides a line, this opens up a few options.
cell[3,9] = top must be a cross. this is because otherwise it stuffs up. you can do it in your head (no fix position required)

One easy bit I spotted in the bottom left corner that you've missed:-

You can add a line coming out of the 3 in the corner, and hence a cross too:-

This is what I got to without needing FP: [note that I'm feeble-minded and use a lot of x-s].

[and it's a good excuse to test the new import function]

Just one quick look at your current solution and the only thing I can see straight off is a single cross in the middle of the puzzle...

becomes

but I don't think it really helps much!

Once you've got that cross there, you have to have a line between the two twos as well.  If you have a cross, you quickly end up with the same closed loop that you just avoided:

Putting in the line between the two twos helps you out down and to the left, and after this point finishing the puzzle is very straightforward.
